I would have this book in my future classroom library for the students to have access to at all times. For example, when they wrote 'rope' like 'rop' because the 'e' is silent on the end. I really like the play on words when the class was striking against the silent letters. They can have something to connect to and feel that they aren't the only one. I also think this would be a good book to read to them so they don't feel alone when they are having trouble spelling. I think they would appreciate the humor and still find the concept of the book. I would read this book aloud to my future classroom of first through third graders.
